Longer-term non-tradable securities in wikifolios
From now on, wikifolio certificates can remain tradable even if there are no long-term prices for securities in the associated wikifolio.
How does this work?
It can occasionally happen that no prices are available for securities for a longer or indefinite period of time because, for instance, they are suspended from trading on their home exchanges. If such securities are included in a wikifolio, the wikifolio could not be fully valued to date and the associated wikifolio certificate was not tradable up to now. In such cases, Lang & Schwarz as index sponsor can now provide end-to-end price calculation of the wikifolios in the following way:
- If there are no prices for securities in a wikifolio, these securities can be valued in the wikifolio with a deduction of up to 100% from the previous price.
- A price for the entire wikifolio and the associated wikifolio certificate can thus be determined again. Investors can thus continue to buy and sell the associated wikifolio certificate.
- Investors can thus continue to buy and sell the associated wikifolio certificate.
How do I recognise the impacted wikifolios?
- At the top of the details page for a wikifolio, you will find a note indicating that there is at least one security in the wikifolio that has been suspended from trading for a longer period of time.
- A marker can be seen directly next to the corresponding security in the portfolio on the details page.
- wikifolio users with an affected wikifolio on their watchlist will receive an email. (They will also subsequently be notified when the security is tradable again).
- wikifolio traders whose wikifolio contains a non-tradable security will receive an email. (They will also subsequently be notified when the security is tradable again).
